Captain Crunch

He’s a winner, they say.

Got a wife, car and maid.

In a house where someone used to live.

Just another fairy tale.

He’s a charmer, they whisper.

He’s a worker, they say.

Got his actions safely controlled.

His wife keeps apples in a bowl.

But is there anyone who knows

About his nocturnal shows?

He goes here and there, he goes everywhere.

Mrs.Winner´s unaware of his.

Dances down the lonely avenue,

Flipping his pockets with a speed she’ll never know.

Takes off his hat more than ten times a night

Until the morning finally breaks into the light.

Returns to toast and coffee served by negligee.

Puts on his kimono as if nothing’s ever changed.

Then reads the paper: there’s a story about a girl

Who is reported missing from the night before.

Got his conscience all right.

Though he’s lonesome at times.

But he’s a bad news man, we all know that.

He feels nothing inside.

He’s putting on a smile,

While he puts on his tie.

Goes to work: here comes the handsome guy.

His exterior’s just a lie.

But is there anyone who knows

About his nocturnal shows?

He goes here and there, he goes everywhere.

Mrs.Winner´s unaware of his.

Dances down the lonely avenue,

Flipping his pockets with a speed she’ll never know.

Takes off his hat more than ten times every night.
