Nordische Musik, Peter Bickel:

Finally Sophie Duner found a fitting garment for her songs, which fit in to no drawer, they (the songs) seem to come from the back through the chest in to the eyes. A serious string quartet provides with disciplined playing, that also Duner stays on the ground.

Her expressive voice is extreme present, wonders over a few octaves, till the for the listener lust turns in to pain. The string arrangements don’t hesitate away from  disharmonic frictions , plus the high kicks – some times one wants to ask for pity/ compassion! No, no, the CD has 17 songs, the lyrics from Madame are of course  quiet strange.

Bottom line: Who likes it, for him it will be the highest. Recommended drink: Absinth, not less than 4 liter.
