Present Music’s “Virtual Hootenanny” featuring Sophie Dunér Live from NYC
Sophie will feature & be performing a series of her own compositions such as a premiere of a new techno/krautrock/contemporary inspired music arrangement of her tune “Robot in Love” (arranged by Kurt Cowling) as well as a jazzy version of “Leo” (Stockhausen) with violinist Eric Segnitz. This is followed by “Besame Mucho” (Consuelo Velazquez) with string quartet, arranged by Stefano Scodanibbio. The event starts with a featured video from her new premiere of Eric Segnitz arrangement of her tune The Express Train ( for string septet) from her artist residency with Present Music in February.
